I have a little obsession with Maria V. Snyder at the moment, I love her Healer series and I've just gotten her Study series, I thought next on this list has to be the Glass series.

I think you might have gotten the synopsis for another book mixed up with Storm Glass. It's main character is Opal, and nothing in that synp has anything to do with the actual book. Hope this helps?
