Top Ten Tuesday #40

Top Ten Characters in Dystopian/Science Fiction

I'll just get the most obvious ones out the way shall I?
1. Katniss - The Hunger Games
What more do I need to say, we all know why we love Katniss, she's feisty and a survivor, and we all love a little love triangle now and again... even when she's pretending.

2. Cinna - The Hunger Games
Cinna is brilliant, from the first time I met him in the first book I knew he was secretly loving being slightly different which got him noticed. But, not enough to get him into trouble. At least not in the first book.

3. Haymitch - The Hunger Games
Who doesn't love the drunk with a heart aye?
A little less obvious....
4. Julian - Pandemonium
We start with a love/hate relationship with Julian, we can't decide whether he's a good guy or a bad guy. And he is such a nice guy! Sometimes we don't have enough of these, or they get ignored.

5. Peter - The Declaration
After the first book being so dedicated to Anna I was unsure whether the second book, which tells mainly the story of Peter would be any good. It was better. Peter had so many levels and so much difficulty in both his home/undercover life that he was just captivating.

6. Bea - Breathe
Bea is the classic 'I don't want to do this' sort of hero, she is a really brilliant character. I really enjoyed reading about her life in the dome. She is quite happy there and just wants to advance a little in the system that's already in place.

7. Quinn  - Breathe
Quinn is the opposite of Bea, which is why they have to both be put in this list. They bounce off each other so well it makes their story a wonderful read.

8. Bram - Dearly Departed
A zombie character?! Yes please, and thank you to Habel for not making you decaying and gross and therefore someone we can fancy :) I love his character its so different from many other main characters we see.

9.  Melanie - The Host
I read this quite a while ago but Melanie really stuck in my mind. She's basically one of the aliens but not. Her conflicted nature is really interesting.

10. Six - Lorien Legacies
I love Six, she is really feisty and fun. She seems to enjoy her life at times, she's so strong willed that she is one of my favourites.
